Defenshield Director of Sales appointed to AUSA Board of Directors

Lee Hinkleman, Director of Sales at East Syracuse-based Defenshield Inc. was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Northern New York – Fort Drum Chapter of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) last evening at the Association’s Annual Meeting held in Ft. Drum, NY.
AUSA is a private, non-profit educational organization that supports America’s Army – Active, National Guard, Reserve, Civilians, Retirees and family members. Chapters worldwide develop programs and activities that provide community support for America’s Army through individual and corporate members, and help educate the public about the needs for a strong national defense and the Army. AUSA Chapters are involved in a variety of programs to help support deployed and mobilized soldiers and their families.
Hinkleman is a 26-year U.S. Army veteran who spent the vast majority of his career serving overseas. He has been active with the Northern NY – Fort Drum Chapter of AUSA for the past 8 years, serving as the Director of Media Relations. His recent appointment to the Board of Directors tenures him through 2012 with the Chapter. Hinkleman joined the Defenshield team in October 2008 as the Director of Sales responsible for International and Distributor Relations. He is currently working with the governments of Mexico, Singapore, Pakistan and Columbia to bring a higher level of ballistic protection to government facilities and security forces in those countries.
Defenshield is a sustaining member of the Northern New York – Fort Drum Chapter of the AUSA. The company supports the activities and programs of the Association through sponsorships at various events throughout the year, including the Army 10-Miler race at The Pentagon, the Chapter Hospitality Suite at the AUSA Annual Meeting in Washington DC, platoon sponsorship of deployed units, as well as local events for returning and deploying Fort Drum soldiers.
