Additional shipments of Defenshield Mobile Defensive Fighting Positions (MDFPs) are on their way to support U.S. Marine operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. There are now over 500 MDFPs deployed in the Middle East, protecting soldiers in the war effort.
Hassle-free processing through GSA Advantage! allowed the Joint Contracting Command Iraq/Afghanistan to issue a one-click order and receive the in-stock DS-192 units with a minimal lead time of less than three weeks.
Marine combat engineers are using Defenshield MDFP’s along side earth-filled HESCO barriers and plywood construction to fortify entry control points. The MDFP’s provide excellent visibility of approaching threats while still maintaining the highest level protection available in a mobile, stand-alone device. Units currently in use by the Marines have ATV-style tires which allow the MDFP’s to be easily reconfigured for optimal positioning.
