Brooks Thomas joined Defenshield in October 2012, bringing with him a wealth of his industry knowledge and an extensive understanding of NIJ Standards, ballistic material make-ups, and knowledge of ballistic and blast testing learned over the years.
Prior to joining Defenshield, Brooks was employed within the defense industry as a Ballistic Products Division Sales Manager where he spent time working with various aspects of Federal Government Agencies, Police Department and Military, both domestically and internationally. During that period, he gained valuable experience in Sales, Business Development, Product Development (both new and existing), along with marketing material development focused on ballistic products.
Brooks began working directly out of high school for the local newspaper in Fredericksburg, VA, while going to College and receiving his Associates Degree in Business Administration. Prior to entering into the Defense Industry, in the early part of his career, Brooks spent time in the building industry and assisted in running a family business, managing 15 rental properties.
Brooks is currently in the process of graduating from Bluefield College with his BA in Business Management & Leadership. As he finishes up his BA, Brooks spends his free time honing his shooting skills, snowboarding, traveling, managing his fantasy football team and feeding an interest in cars and motorcycles.

The following items are some basic questions to ask when preparing your Defenshield order.
What is the nature of the threat – small arms, rifle rounds, armor piercing, IED blast?
Will the unit be used indoors or outdoors?
Will the unit be used for riot control or hostage negotiations?
Do you require conspicuous deterrence or camouflage?
Will the unit need to match the aesthetics of it’s surroundings – wood or stone finishes?
Will you need traffic control signage, unit logos or law enforcement badges displayed on the unit?
What is the size of the space where the unit will be used?
Will the unit need to fit through doorways, into elevators?
What are you protecting – people, objects?

What surface are you using the unit on – gravel, dirt road, finished concrete, wood floor?
Will the unit be frequently relocated?
