Bob Faille joined Defenshield in June of 2017 as the Vice President, International Business Development — a role in which he is responsible for expanding Defenshield’s business opportunities internationally.
Prior to assuming his current role, Bob served in multiple positions for Textron Systems as the Director of Business Development for Africa and The Levant; Director of Libya Operations; Program Manager for the Mobile Strike Force Vehicle program in Afghanistan responsible for the life cycle support and product areas for the COMMANDO™ Select vehicle line and Libya Business Development Manager. Bob previously held the position of Middle East Regional Business Development Director for Alliant Tech Systems (Orbital ATK) setting up ATK’s first international office based out of Abu Dhabi, UAE.
With over three decades of military experience, Bob served as a U.S. Army mechanized infantry officer and Middle East specialist before retiring as a colonel in 2009. He commanded through battalion level and held multiple positions within U.S. embassies among which were the Chief, Land & Air Defense Forces Division at the Office of Military Cooperation, US Embassy Cairo, Egypt and Defense Attaché and Military Assistance Program chief at U.S. Embassy Amman, Jordan.
Bob graduated from the U.S. Military Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in Middle East regional studies and electrical engineering. He earned a Master of Science degree in Foreign Service and a Certificate in Arab Studies from Georgetown University. He was also a U.S. Army War College Fellow at Queen’s University’s Centre for International Relations in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
His military awards and decorations highlights include the Combat Action Badge; Defense Superior Service Medal (2); Legion of Merit (2); Bronze Star Medal; Good Conduct Medal; Ranger Tab; Expert Infantryman Badge and Parachutist Badge.

Do you require conspicuous deterrence or camouflage?
Will the unit need to match the aesthetics of it’s surroundings – wood or stone finishes?
Will you need traffic control signage, unit logos or law enforcement badges displayed on the unit?
What is the size of the space where the unit will be used?
Will the unit need to fit through doorways, into elevators?
What are you protecting – people, objects?
