Perry Hagaman joined Defenshield in September of 2016 as the Program Manager – National Guard, a role in which he is responsible for overseeing all actions and sales to the National Guard and Law Enforcement.
Prior to joining the Defenshield team, Perry was the Assistant Adjutant General for the Florida National Guard where he had primary directional oversight responsibility for both the state and federal missions for approximately 10,000 Army Soldiers from 5 Major Commands. Perry served in a variety of key military command and staff positions including Chief of Staff, Troop Command Commander, State Army Aviation Officer, Chief of Aviation Training, and State Safety Officer. Perry is Master Army Aviator and Instructor Pilot with more than 4,500 flight hours in a wide range of military and civilian aircraft. Perry also serves as a reserve deputy sheriff where he provides safety, tactics and weapon expertise across the law enforcement spectrum.
Perry is a graduate of Embry Riddle University with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Professional Aeronautics and the Army War College with a Master’s in Strategic Studies. His military awards and decorations highlights include the Distinguished Service Medal, Legion of Merit, the Meritorious Service Medal.
In his spare time, Perry enjoys golf, shooting, flying, and spending time with his wife Susan and two college age kids.
Troy joined Defenshield in March of 2019 and is responsible for all Corrections accounts.
Prior to joining Defenshield, Troy worked his way through the ranks with the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections and retired as a Captain after 26 years of service. During his career, Troy served as an adjunct instructor at the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections Training Academy in both basic and advanced defensive tactics and was a member of the Hostage Negotiation Team as well as CERT. Troy’s active duty military service in the United States Navy include two deployments to the Middle East where his ship was awarded the Meritorious Unit Commendation for Convoy escort operations through the Strait of Hormuz and Persian Gulf War Zone during Operation Earnest Will.
During his free time Troy enjoys community service, boating and restoring and driving classic British vehicles and most importantly spending time with his wife Sue and 2 daughters.
Brandon Patty joined Defenshield in July 2016 and is responsible for Navy and Marine Corps accounts.
Brandon brings almost 20 years of experience in business, in uniform, and in government and takes pride in working closely with customers to identify and meet their needs.
A native Floridian, he is a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy Reserve and currently serves in the Navy Reserve Naval Command Central Intelligence 0174 Unit. He holds a Master of Science from London School of Economics and a Bachelor of Arts from George Washington University.
Brooks Thomas joined Defenshield in October 2012, bringing with him a wealth of his industry knowledge and an extensive understanding of NIJ Standards, ballistic material make-ups, and knowledge of ballistic and blast testing learned over the years.
Prior to joining Defenshield, Brooks was employed within the defense industry as a Ballistic Products Division Sales Manager where he spent time working with various aspects of Federal Government Agencies, Police Department and Military, both domestically and internationally. During that period, he gained valuable experience in Sales, Business Development, Product Development (both new and existing), along with marketing material development focused on ballistic products.
Brooks began working directly out of high school for the local newspaper in Fredericksburg, VA, while going to College and receiving his Associates Degree in Business Administration. Prior to entering into the Defense Industry, in the early part of his career, Brooks spent time in the building industry and assisted in running a family business, managing 15 rental properties.
Brooks is currently in the process of graduating from Bluefield College with his BA in Business Management & Leadership. As he finishes up his BA, Brooks spends his free time honing his shooting skills, snowboarding, traveling, managing his fantasy football team and feeding an interest in cars and motorcycles.
